2020 started out with a bang!...Personally, Kobe's death was like a punch in the gut. I didn't personally know him, but he was like a household name growing up. Not to mention his insane work ethic always stuck out to me. Then came this random virus from a town in China. I honestly, thought it was a joke, and didn't spend too much time thinking about it, despite the early concerns. The insane amount of fear this virus has caused not to mention the different industries its impacted in such a short notice has my mind spinning. I feel like we are all connected globally despite our individual lives.

If we step back and look at the bigger picture we don't have control of the situation but we do have control over ourselves and how we choose to respond. Hard times don't last forever but strong people do. It's those that can best manage change. It's those that can see this challenge as an opportunity. It's those that are willing to get creative and try something new. If you're reading this, I know you got what it takes.

I challenge you to be intentional to surround yourself with positive people. When your mind starts to go down that pessimistic road, pull yourself out of it. Affirmations, meditation and excercise really work! (YouTube and Peloton App have some great sessions).

Everyday we make decisions that propel us forward or retract us from where we want to be, my hope and prayer for you is that you on a daily basis choose hope, faith and love. Life is full of obstacles, whatever hardships you do face I am believing that this happened for you and not to you and that you will have something amazing unfold for you.

Here's to our imperfectly perfect lives managing change and taking on new opportunities!
